I collaborated with the director, puppet designer and puppet builder to construct the fish lady. She was built with consideration to the scale of the set, making her skin a shiny fish texture and having internal wire structures to allow the mouth to open & close.
 

This was my first professional experience of animating a stop-motion puppet with physical performance and dialogue lip-sync. We shot the puppet in front of the live action set background, creating a forced perspective illusion.
